Louvers, in installations such as louvered doors or window shutters, are an attractive way to provide privacy and security while allowing for the free-flow of air on both sides of the louvers.
Many people may want to know how to make window shutters? Today I will show you the secret of window shutters on our factory.
STEP ONE – CUT LOUVERS
Cut the right louver length according to the window size, then cut notches in the louvers to accept the hidden control arms.
STEP TWO – CUT RAILS AND STILES
Rip the rails and stiles to the proper dimensions, cut some rabbets on rails. Insert the alumnium and predrilled all of the louver pin holes in the stiles.
STEP THREE – CUT THE FRAMES
45 degree angle cutting, predrilled and install the swallowtail pins.
STEP FOUR – ASSEMBLE THE LOUVERS AND RAILS
Each louver receives a shutter pin on each end, one louver receives a special tensioning pin. Insert the louvers and rails to the stiles, then put the hole plug to rail.
STEP FIVE – ASSEMBLE HIDDEN CONTROL ARM
Cut the hidden control arm to the proper length, then use the stainless steel nails to attach each louver.
STEP SIX – ATTACH THE HINGES
Install the hinges to the frame.
STEP SEVEN – ATTACH THE SHUTTER TO THE FRAME
Last step is screw the shutter into the frame, use magnetic clips to keep the shutters closed.
